Parental Consent

1. Why This Page Exists

Our games — including Land of Resistance, ESO, Ojelo, Oya One More, and Just Us — are built for a general audience, and some are enjoyed by families and younger players. If you are a parent or guardian, this page explains what data we collect from children, how we protect it, and how you can review, manage, or ask us to delete it.

Just Us is a conversation experience designed for adults and mature teens. If your child has access to a shared device, we recommend using the age gate and account controls described below to keep experiences age-appropriate.

2. Our Approach to Children's Data

Where a Game is directed at, or reasonably likely to be accessed by, children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region), we:

  • Ask for only the minimum information needed to run the game — never more.
  • Do not show behaviorally-targeted advertising to accounts identified as belonging to a child.
  • Do not knowingly allow open, unmoderated chat between a child and strangers.
  • Require verifiable parental consent before a child can create a full account or make a purchase.

3. How the Age Gate Works

  1. When a player first opens a NIBCARD E Games app, they're asked for their birth year.
  2. If the player indicates they are under the age of digital consent in their region (13 in most countries, higher in some), the app switches to a limited, no-account experience or requests parental consent before continuing.
  3. To grant consent, a parent or guardian confirms their relationship to the child and approves account creation, typically via email verification or an in-app confirmation step.
  4. Until consent is given, the app will not collect personal data beyond what's needed to display the consent request itself.

4. What Parents Can Do

  • Review: request a summary of the data collected about your child's account.
  • Restrict: ask us to limit or stop specific types of data collection or processing.
  • Refuse or withdraw consent: at any time, which will pause or remove your child's account.
  • Request deletion: permanently remove your child's account and associated data — see our Delete Account page, or contact us directly and we'll handle it for you.

5. In-App Purchases & Children

We strongly recommend parents enable the purchase-approval or password-protection settings provided by the App Store or Google Play on any device used by a child, so that in-app purchases always require adult confirmation.

6. Regional Notes

Where applicable, we design our children's data practices to align with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and equivalent provisions of the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and GDPR relating to children's data. Local rules on the age of digital consent vary by country, and we apply the more protective standard where they differ.

7. Contact Us About Your Child's Data

If you believe your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, or you'd like to review, adjust, or delete it, please contact us — we prioritize and act promptly on requests involving children's data.
