1. Introduction

Welcome to NIBCARD E Games, the mobile games division of NIBCARD Nig Ltd ("NIBCARD," "we," "us," or "our"). NIBCARD is Nigeria's longest-running tabletop game studio, and NIBCARD E Games carries that same mission into mobile — building games including Land of Resistance, ESO, Ojelo, Oya One More, and Just Us (collectively, the "Games" or "Apps").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you download, install, or play our Games, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have over it. It applies to all NIBCARD E Games apps and to mobile.nibcardgames.com.

2. Information We Collect

We try to collect only what a game genuinely needs to run well and stay fair for every player.

  • Account Data: username, display name, avatar, email address, and a hashed password or third-party sign-in token (e.g. Google Play Games, Game Center, Apple Sign in) if you create a profile.
  • Gameplay Data: scores, progress, achievements, in-game currency balances, leaderboard rank, and match history.
  • Device & Technical Data: device model, operating system version, unique advertising or install identifiers, IP address, language, and crash/diagnostic logs.
  • Usage Data: session length, features used, and general in-app navigation, collected to understand what's working and what isn't.
  • Purchase Data: a record of in-app purchases and transaction identifiers. Full card numbers are never seen or stored by us — payments are processed by Apple, Google, or a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor such as Paystack or Flutterwave.
  • Communications Data: anything you send us directly, such as support requests, feedback, or messages sent through in-game chat features (where available).
  • Age-Gate Data: a birth year or age range, collected only to apply the correct experience and, where applicable, to trigger the parental consent process described in our Parental Consent page.

3. How We Collect It

  • Directly from you: when you create an account, adjust settings, contact support, or enter information into the app.
  • Automatically: through the normal operation of the Games and standard mobile SDKs (analytics, crash reporting, and — where enabled — advertising).
  • From platforms: the App Store, Google Play, or a linked social sign-in provider may share basic profile information with us when you connect your account.

5. Advertising & Analytics

Some of our free-to-play Games may show ads or use analytics tools to understand engagement. Where this is the case, we or our partners may use device or advertising identifiers to measure performance and, where permitted, personalize ads. You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalized ads at any time from your device's privacy settings. We do not knowingly serve personalized advertising to accounts registered as belonging to a child.

6. Children's Privacy & Parental Consent

Some of our Games are suitable for a general audience, including younger players. Where a Game is directed at or reasonably likely to be used by children, we limit data collection to what is necessary to operate the Game, avoid behavioral advertising to that audience, and require verifiable parental consent before a child creates an account. Full details are set out in our Parental Consent page. If you believe a child has given us personal data without appropriate consent, contact us using the details in Section 12 and we will act promptly to remove it.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data only for as long as we need it to provide the Games, meet legal and accounting obligations (typically up to 6 years for transaction records), or resolve disputes. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data as described in our Delete Account page, subject to a short backup-retention window of up to 30 days.

8. How We Share Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:

  • Platform providers — Apple, Google, and their payment and sign-in systems.
  • Service providers — cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, and payment processing partners who act under our instructions.
  • Legal & safety — regulators, law enforcement, or courts where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our players and staff.
  • Business changes — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

9. International Transfers

NIBCARD is based in Nigeria, but some of our service providers (cloud storage, analytics, email) operate internationally. Where personal data leaves Nigeria, we use providers who maintain data protection standards equivalent to the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and, where our players are in the EU/UK, standards equivalent to the GDPR — for example through Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data (see Delete Account).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, especially direct marketing.
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. Nigerian players may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC); EU/UK players may contact their local data protection authority.

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit (SSL/TLS), access controls, and regular review of our systems — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to detect and respond to issues quickly, and will notify you and, where required, the NDPC, of any data breach that affects you.

12. Contact Us

Questions about this Policy or your data can be sent to our Data Protection Officer:
